Jungle Clearance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week has seen a lot of winter-into-spring weather with periods of heavy hail storms under very dark storm clouds interspersed with some bright and warm sunshine.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kergudon.com\/fr\/sunday-4th-february-yucca-gloriosa-in-memorium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Last week\u2019s blog<\/a> said that the weather forecast should allow me to progress renovation of the tropical flower bed on our main driveway but, unsurprisingly, the forecast changed frequently and was not entirely accurate all of the time \u2026<\/p>\n<p>Living on the western end of Brittany we rarely get any snow to speak of but, on Monday, I was unable to work outside as we had a light dusting which settled and lasted the very cold weather would have led to numb extremities!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Snow-stopped-play.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3092 lazyload\" data-src=\"http:\/\/kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Snow-stopped-play-300x175.jpg\" alt=\"Snow stopped play\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/175;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I was able however to progress the (say it quietly) the white plastic lambris in the garage having bought some more appropriate (longer) nails to secure it.\u00a0 It was still a relatively slow task to progress but, thankfully, much quicker than before and I was able to complete one garage bay and start a second.\u00a0 Having finished it doesn\u2019t look too bad and, when I eventually get around to cladding the interior walls, it will look great.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/White-Plastic-Lambris-AAARRRGGGHHH.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3098 lazyload\" data-src=\"http:\/\/kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/White-Plastic-Lambris-AAARRRGGGHHH-300x211.jpg\" alt=\"White Plastic Lambris AAARRRGGGHHH\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/144;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Clearing these proved tough but, when done, has given us a blank canvas for when we get around to replanting.\u00a0 Removing the old wall at the front was relatively simple, or at least taking out the rocks and stone that formed it was \u2013 even the massive concrete lintel that has oddly been used;
