Store-my Weather"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I mentioned at the end of <a href=\"https:\/\/kergudon.com\/fr\/sunday-6-october-thorny-issue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">last week\u2019s blog<\/a> that, while we had made some momentum the previous week, the weather forecast for last week was likely to stall that \u2013 and so it proved to be the case.\u00a0 As such, this blog won\u2019t be terribly long \u2026<\/p>\n<p>We did experience some damp autumnal weather interspersed with a couple of bright, warm, sunny days. \u00a0David\u2019s parents were still with us at the start of the week and, on Monday, one of the wet days, while they visited the Leclerc exhibition we had seen with my Dad, not wanting to waste an entire day, we started a good \u2018wet weather project\u2019 \u2013 clearing and sorting our store room.<\/p>\n<p>The store room is the half of the first floor of the garage (Grange) which isn\u2019t the games room.\u00a0 Since completing it, it has made a huge difference to our lives.\u00a0 Not least because we have been able to store things previously taking up space in our home but because, when we change the g\u00eetes over it gives us a single space where we can gather everything we need.<\/p>\n<p>However, being a large useful space, it has also become an area where we can accumulate things that perhaps we don\u2019t need to hang onto (I may have mentioned that I don\u2019t throw much away!)\u00a0 Now seemed like a good time to empty the space out, remind ourselves what\u2019s in it, and then restock it in such a way that we are able to better see what we have.\u00a0 It is the first time the room has been empty since I built it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Store-Room-Unstored.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4306 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Store-Room-Unstored-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/224;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It is amazing how much \u2018stuff\u2019 we have managed to accumulate and is quite therapeutic sorting it out.\u00a0 Amazingly (for me) some of the items, which we will never need, will be thrown out and others, which we may need but irregularly, will be stored above Dave\u2019s gym.\u00a0 What this means is that we will need to do the same sorting to that space next week.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Store-room-contents.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-4305 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Store-room-contents-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"241\" height=\"180\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 241px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 246\/184;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tuesday was the best day of the week by far, but it was also a significant day for Dave\u2019s Mum so we took the day off and went with them to Camaret-sur-Mer at the end of the Crozon peninsular for a lovely lunch.\u00a0 There are a number of great restaurants at Camaret and we tried a new one, for us, which was part of a small spa hotel but ideally located with a terrace overlooking the marina.\u00a0 It was actually really hot and we had a lovely meal before coming home where David produced an equally amazing dinner in the evening.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Carantec-Resto.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4304 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Carantec-Resto-300x212.jpg\" alt=\"\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/212;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>David\u2019s parents left us on Wednesday morning and we\u2019ve not made any great strides since.\u00a0 On the only other fairly dry day we have started to clear a wood pile in front of the Dairy building.\u00a0 The wood is principally the remains of the apple trees which were either blown over or we have cut from the orchard.\u00a0 It is starting to season, having been cut down a couple of years ago, but is open to the elements so gets wet and then dries on a regular basis which is not good for it, or terribly attractive just inside our main entrance.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Apple-Pile.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4302 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Apple-Pile-300x203.jpg\" alt=\"\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px;
