{"id":3131,"date":"2019-11-03T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-11-03T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kergudon.com\/https-www-kergudon-com-sunday-03-november-rain-rain-go-away\/"},"modified":"2020-05-12T15:55:50","modified_gmt":"2020-05-12T15:55:50","slug":"sunday-03-november-rain-rain-go-away","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kergudon.com\/fr\/sunday-03-november-rain-rain-go-away\/","title":{"rendered":"Sunday 03 November &#8211; Rain, rain go away!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am now officially bored with the autumnal weather this year.\u00a0 Ever since we moved to Brittany in 2015, the autumns have been periods of beautifully crisp, clear, sometimes sunny days with minimal rainfall.\u00a0 This year it seems to be making up for the last 4 and has continued to be wet, windy and generally unpleasant for outdoor work of which we have lots of plans and ideas.<\/p>\n<p>That said, as I alluded to in <a href=\"https:\/\/kergudon.com\/fr\/sunday-27th-october-danshari\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">last week\u2019s blog<\/a>, despite the weather we are welcoming more autumnal guests than we ever have and so, with the g\u00eetes occupied, there isn\u2019t so many large inside jobs that I can get on with either.\u00a0 Not that there is so much to do internally until we start our Priory project in the New Year.<\/p>\n<p>One external job that we have had started, as opposed to starting ourselves, is the tree work on the large sycamores on our SW boundary.\u00a0 These trees have grown pretty large and consequently block out a lot of light to our neighbours garden in the morning and our garden in the afternoon.\u00a0 Being sycamores they seed very readily and every year there are thousands of new small trees in the beds. Our biggest fear is that in a good SW\u2019ly wind they may come down, in the worst scenario, right on top of Stable!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Sycamore-to-go.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4278 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Sycamore-to-go-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 261\/194;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It has generated a lot of wood that we will be able to burn in a couple of years when it is seasoned but also a lot of smaller branch waste that I will need to clear up.\u00a0 Thankfully, I have been allowed a new \u2018toy\u2019 to do this that I shall show you when we start!\u00a0 We hope that another couple of days and the woodsman will have cut all he can and just the tidying up will remain.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Tree-cutting-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4354 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Tree-cutting-2-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px;
