Fire &#038; Ice-ing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A very brief blog this week as we have not completed too many tasks at Kergudon and the autumn has continued to be as unproductive at the end as it was at the start!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I mentioned <a href=\"https:\/\/kergudon.com\/fr\/sunday-24-november-chop-chop-mow\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">last week<\/a> that a repair I had tried to make with a dishwasher \u2013 our own \u2013 hadn\u2019t proved successful despite it going through a wash cycle completely before I reassembled it.\u00a0 The new parts we had ordered were delivered late last week so I once again disassembled the machine to replace the pump \u2013 YouTube is a brilliant resource for things like this.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Dishwasher.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4465 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Dishwasher-235x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 235px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 235\/300;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The new pump proved really difficult to install but I eventually managed to get it attached only to find that it didn\u2019t resolve the problem.\u00a0 I tried a number of things, none of which seemed to be effective, so I decided to take the new pump out and put the old pump back in and, for no apparent reason it now seems to work!\u00a0 Although for how long we have no idea.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Our dishwasher frustrations however pale into insignificance compared to our friendly carpenter who had a proper disaster recently.\u00a0 We were very pleased with the new back door to Kergudon which was made by John we asked him to make the replacement door we need for Granary following its latch failure.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Having painted the frame <a href=\"https:\/\/kergudon.com\/fr\/sunday-03-november-rain-rain-go-away\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a couple of weeks ago<\/a>, we hoped this week would be dry enough for him to come and fit it.\u00a0 However, as I was messaging to see when he would be free he, and all of his local pompiers, were busy tackling a fire in one of his workshops.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Johns-Workshop-Ablaze.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4467 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.kergudon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Johns-Workshop-Ablaze-300x207.jpg\" alt=\"\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px;
