Gites de Kergudon Terms & Conditions 2025
By paying the 50% booking deposit (or entire rental in case of a late notice booking) the renter confirms that they have read and agreed with these terms and conditions.
- Bookings will be confirmed by email on payment of a 50% non-refundable deposit (full payment if reservation is made within 4 weeks of the booking).
- We reserve the right to refuse any booking we consider to be unsuitable for our property.
- Prices are as quoted, but we reserve the right to correct any error.
- The balance is payable no later than 14 days before the arrival date.
- Your booking is only for the number of people stated on your confirmation email (for direct bookings) or the number of people declared on your reservation if booking using an online agency.
- Additional guests will only be accommodated with our prior approval. If our approval is not given and additional guests are accommodated they will be asked to leave, a reduction will be made from your damage deposit and we reserve the right to cancel the remainder of the booking. Maximum capacities of our accommodation (excluding babies) are Priory and Granary – six (6) people; Hayloft and Stable – two (2) people.
- In accordance with French Law, all guests of 18 years old and over will be required to provide their full names and postal address.
- On payment of the balance we will request a refundable security / damage deposit of 250 € (350 € for guests staying with dogs).
- Security / damage deposits will be returned within 48 hours of departure via BACS payment subject to inspection by Kergudon Gîtes. Any proposed deduction will be discussed with the guest prior to repayment.
- In the event of excessive damage caused during a guest's stay, Kergudon reserves the right to claim compensation in excess of the damage deposit held.
- Your period of rental commences at 16h30 on your arrival date (as stated in your confirmation email), and ends at 10h00 on your departure date (as stated in your confirmation email). Alterations to arrival and departure times are by prior arrangement only. We will endeavour to accommodate these requests but it may not always be possible.
- On departure the property is to be left in the same state of tidiness and cleanliness that it was presented on arrival. ‘End of stay cleaning’ can be booked in advance for an additional fee but we ask for at least 72 hours notice prior to your departure (Priory and Granary Gîtes - 75€; Hayloft Gîte - 60€).
- If upon your departure your gîte requires additional professional cleaning, a charge of 100 € will be deducted from your security deposit.
- We have separate rules that cover use of the Swimming Pool. These are available on the Client Space of our website and, where possible, will also be emailed to the principal renter prior to your arrival. We will ask that a copy of these rules is signed by a member of your group before access is granted to the swimming pool.
- Use of the Fitness Studio is strictly reserved for adults over 18 years of age. Any guest wanting to use the Fitness Studio is required to sign a waiver before access is granted to the facility.
- Children under the age of 10 years using the Family Games Room must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Dogs are accepted in our two dog-friendly gîtes (Priory and Hayloft) by prior agreement. We charge a small additional fee of 20 € per dog per stay. We do not accept other pets.
- Dogs are not to be left unaccompanied in the gîte at any time unless secured in a travel cage.
- We understand that accidents happen. Not all damage will result in a deduction from your security / damage deposit but please report breakages and damages, so that they may be replaced / rectified in time for our next guests.
- Parents remain responsible for the behaviour of their children and other children in their party, throughout their stay. Please ensure that all children are aware of what areas are allocated to the gîte you are renting; which are communal areas; and which areas are allocated to other gîtes so as not to cause a nuisance to other guests staying.
- We regret we cannot be held responsible for interruption in services e.g. internet, electricity, water. In the unlikely event that these occur we will endeavour to do our best to resolve the problem as soon as possible.
- The owners of Kergudon Gîtes will not be liable for any loss or damage caused to you, your property or vehicle however caused. We strongly advise buying a holiday insurance policy which covers you for all accidents.
- The owners of Kergudon Gîtes cannot be held responsible for conditions outside of our control e.g. cancelled or delayed flights & ferries, restrictive weather, etc. where you are unable to arrive at the property during the period of your reservation.
- The owners of Kergudon Gîtes reserve the right to terminate your stay if you or members of your party are believed to be causing a nuisance to other guests or are not treating the property with due respect. In this event no refund will be made for the unused portion of the holiday.
- Kergudon Gîtes respect the right to your privacy whilst staying in the property but reserve the right to enter the property should this be necessary to carry out urgent repairs. Every effort will be made to inform you if we are required to access the property during your reservation period.
- Once either the deposit and / or the balance has been paid they are non-refundable. In the event you you having to cancel we will endeavour to re-sell the dates previously reserved for you. If we are able to re-sell any of the dates we will refund what we have managed to re-book. If we are unable to re-sell any of the dates we will provide any documentation required to support a claim against your holiday insurance.
